Wednesday, July 7, 1915
I cannot get used to it here.
I would get down on my knees in thanks to
anyone who gets us away from here.
Egon had the same hours off as yesterday.
We haven’t been out together yet, we spend
the whole time – in bed! • B.
We lie pressed against each other as closely as possible
||
so as to forget the world around us – but it doesn’t
always succeed – the noise in the street is a
constant reminder of this whole terrible time.
Will we get through this? – Who knows –
I don’t want to lose my last bit of hope
– otherwise I won’t have the strength to go on.
